“On safari – Leopard” is an abstract oil painting that brings the viewer into the world of the Leopard in the African wilderness, capturing the essence of the elusive elegance of a leopard on the prowl. I was lucky enough to see two leopards in different locations, once early morning and the other time was at dusk. The leopard is the most beautiful of all the big cats, in my humble opinion. Rendered in warm ochres, creams, and soft oranges, the palette reflects the fading light of dusk—a time when shadows deepen, and the leopard’s stealth emerges. The artist’s use of pencil markings, with linear accents and subtle spots, adds texture and dimension, mirroring the mottled pattern of the leopard’s coat.
This painting is a very modern, contemporary abstract work that would look fantastic hanging in your home.
